After I posted that I was called an Idiot and pointed towards teams like the 2014 (?) or maybe even 2013 Chiefs team where the WRs hadn’t scored a single touchdown.

I’d just like to say that y’all are overreacting and being the dumb ones now. I’ve been pleasantly surprised my our team since our week 1 loss to the Lions. Our defense is amazing, our OLine is strong, Patrick Mahomes is Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the team has usually manageable. Travis Kelce has Father Time calling him but aside from that, there’s nothing to really be concerned about.

While I would like to say that I told y’all so, I’m not worried at this point. The AFC has taken a quick decline along with the rest of the league in offensive scoring and overall this is just a defensive year. I guess it happens. The teams that I were worried about: The Bills and Bengals, are no longer scary and their windows are closing or have closed. There are other teams rising like the Ravens and Texans, but I haven’t watched them play and so I have no idea what to really expect from them.

I guess what I’m saying is: not only did I previously overreact, but y’all are now overreacting too. We lost by 4 to the Eagles and honestly, I’m not even concerned. I didn’t get to watch the second half of the game but we hung 17 points on them while only giving up 7. I went to sleep during halftime because I had to wake up at midnight for something, but I was really surprised to see the final score was 21-17 with the Eagles winning.

I think it’s incredibly valid to say that our WRs are straight garbage. I’m ready to move on from all of them this offseason except for 1 or 2. I think the second concern is that we’re not a second-half team anymore. The Chiefs have dominated 2nd and 4th quarters because we’ve been excellent at making adjustments against what the other team is doing. It’s why we’ve had strong records for year and it’s why we beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl last year. Being scoreless in the second half is probably the most worrying statistic because it shows that our adjustments aren’t right or the players are just fucking up. Regardless, it doesn’t matter because it’ll work itself out.

This post was a lot longer than I initially meant for it to be but I really just wanted to say is that everybody needs to be quiet on this subreddit please. I’ve gone from thinking we won’t make it to the playoffs to thinking we’ll be hosting the annual Arrowhead Invitational. Super Bowl? Idk. But get some new WRs this offseason and we’ll be back like we never left.
