For everyone who keeps whining about the screen, there are 9 defenders in the box, playing run the whole way. We have 2v2 on the edge which should be enough for a first down, but Hobbs makes a great play and Cracraft throws a bad block. It happens.
Every analyst talks about how incredible our offense is. We are leading the league in offensive output and are the only team averaging over 400 yards a game. I’m tired of literally every thread here with some idiots commenting “sToP tHrOwInG sCrEeNs”. It’s incredibly stupid and hindsight based. If we ran the ball and didn’t convert then we’d see the same people complaining that the passing game was working and we should have stuck with it.
It’s especially weird how people complain about screens when Waddle had a huge play off a screen in this very game.
Just looking at the formations though Mostert getting a handoff from shotgun and running to the left would almost guarantee a first down as well right? Like it seems we would have good leverage
