I’m literally at my wits end trying to repair the passenger headlight and headlamp wire harness on my 2012 Town and Country touring edition.
The headlamp was destroyed and the wiring harness severed after my wife struck a pole in the middle of a median (women drivers no survivors) so the radiator support assembly has to be replaced before the headlamp assembly can be mounted. However, the wire harness is going to need to be repaired before putting everything back together.
My biggest issue is I cannot find the replacement headlamp harness which runs from under the fuse panel to both headlights fog lights horn trim lights and everything else. The Mopar part number for halogen T&C which I’ve confirmed through several dealerships is 68093310aa I’ve checked on the car-part.com but nobody seems to have this harness in stock or the harnesses they do have are missing plugs which I don’t care for. I mean it’s possible I could fix the missing plugs by soldering the lamp adapters back together but I’d rather have a harness that’s fully intact especially when the technician can’t tell me which plugs are missing or have been cut on the harnesses they have in stock.
I’m experienced in soldering but the issue is I don’t have a diagram to know which wire runs to and controls which lights where and without trial and error possibly blowing fuses it would take an extensive amount of time and frustration to wire all 19 severed wires back together just for the sake of getting the passenger headlight reconnected. It would be much easier just to purchase a fully intact wiring harness and replace the severed one. I just cannot find this harness.
Does anybody know which other Dodge Grand caravan vehicles might possibly use this exact same wiring harness and be interchangeable? Or am I stuck with this exact Mopart model number being the only one for my 2012 town and country? Going on over a month now trying to hunt down one of these wire harnesses so repairs can move forward.
I’ve already been stopped several times in Duval and Clay County Florida because of my headlight and I explained to the officers it only takes money because a radiator support assembly replacement is not a cheap fix either and I’m not made of money. Fortunately, they’ve only ever given me citations but this is a problem I need to get fixed as soon as possible.
Any advice or suggestions or if anybody know any vehicles that are interchangeable with the headlamp harness 68093310aa for stock halogen headlight vehicles?
Also, I meant to ask if there are any wiring schematics or diagrams for these wiring harnesses because as I mentioned I’m good with soldering and if I knew the wiring schematics for these headlamp harnesses I could fix this myself but I haven’t been able to find any wiring diagrams or schematics.
