I’m sure this hypothetical scenario will be an unpopular opinion within the Giants community, but imagine if the Giants decided to opt out of their MetLife Stadium lease in 2025 (with a 12-month notice to the state of New Jersey in 2024), and planned to move back into New York. If the Giants do move back into New York, the only question is where in New York the Giants will built their new stadium. One would guess that a new Giants stadium could be in either Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Westchester County. or Long Island. Obviously, I left out Manhattan and Staten Island for different reasons. Manhattan because of the whole West Side Stadium fiasco in the mid-2000s, and Staten Island because… well… IT’S GODDAMN STATEN ISLAND!

As it stands right now, it seems highly unlikely that the Giants will opt out of their current MetLife Stadium, and that it will be the Jets (our opponent for this week) who will opt out instead. But what are your thoughts?

P.S.: For real, MetLife Stadium needs a retractable roof.
