Even if Poole were a winning player, I’d be surprised if this FO were to have any interest in a me-first, heat-check, no-defense gunner who would inevitably come off the bench for a huge salary. And Poole isn’t a winning player in the first place.

I would have taken him in a package including Kuminga from GS, but I don’t think the Wizards have a nice enough piece to take him on.

With that said, he’ll be here by the trade deadline

Oh my sweet summer children. With Weaver entering his hot seat era, there is a zero percent chance he brings a low character chucker here, (or even a high character one).

His options will be to overpay someone really good thats not a superstar, or try and bring in more solid reliable vets. His only hope is drafting a star and praying someone he’s already drafted takes that leap.

I suppose the one scenario he brings an inefficient chucker here is if it’s an expiring and we get some other assets with it.
