What do you enjoy shooting the most?
I would say “Sports” for me
rainy nights in big cities
Portraits, either studio or environmental. There’s something special about photographing people that I don’t really get from other types of photography.
I also enjoy photographing animals a lot, both pets and wildlife.
Living things, I guess.
Ive come to realize that something I enjoy is ‘behind the scenes’ shots and shots of those who don’t get recognized for the work they do.
Things like:
- Photos of other people taking photos
- Photos of Kitchen Staff (especially love these)
- Photos of people doing the work ‘behind the curtain’ of a play/concert
etc
Unfortunately, people don’t want pictures of a photo session in progress, or people moving props for a play as opposed to the play itself, so I feel like its a niche that isn’t profitable (but something I enjoy most)
-
Emotionally resonate coming of age moments that feel nostalgic, moody, and sometimes ethereal.
-
Feral uninhibited moments of freedom and ecstatic play- often employing juxtaposition of dichotomies.
-
Moments and scenes that couldn’t be recreated in 1+ years because the environment/scene is guaranteed to change.
-
Street photography documenting local feel when I live somewhere. Reminds me of the places I love spending time and gives those locations a bit of an artistic feel
Landscape astro, moody landscapes and bald eagles when the fly into town over winter.
Horror and pet photography have been growing on me a lot lately
Cars for me.
Sports, specifically highly active/constant activity. I am a big fan of action shots :)
I would say minimal photography (be it minimal street photography or minimal landscape photography) also I love texture photography.
Mostly street, landscape, but basically anything with everything in focus.
I just cant’ stand those out of focus ‘bokeh’ photos where only 1-2 things are in focus and background is blurry.
Cityscapes (I live in a city-state where natural vistas are non-existent)
Natural things (smile, person, laugh, lights, landscape, scene) I try to not edit my photos, or at least light and color when it’s too far from what my eyes saw
Architectural. It’s what I do for a living and never gets old
Reportage/Documentary for sure.
