43% by 2027
This seems to be just codifying Carb standards but I thought the 2027 interim target of 42% of sales was interesting.

It is worth noting that EVs are currently exempt from NJ sales tax which is usually 6.625% which can save new car buyers thousands on top of the federal $7,500 tax credit:

The underlying document says only new ZEVs will be sold starting 2035. That includes PHEVs, assuming NJ follows CA’s definition.
