This is just an initial impression, but going through the setup process on both devices and trying out a few games, I was hard pressed to find any noticeable difference (I’m in a low light situation, and I largely play handhelds in bed at night/in the dark). Both displays have pure, inky blacks, both have fantastic colors, and both seem identically sharp to my eye. My original intention was to swap the glossy screen over to the LE model but after a few hours of testing I don’t really see a need to. The glossy screen does have a bit more, well, gloss, but what I was expecting from a matte display is -not- what the LE screen looks like. Like if the OLED gloss screen is a 100, and the LCD etched display (what I had before) was a 0, then the OLED etched screen is like a 95.
