So I recently swapped my 2009 hyundai sonatas’ alternator with a new one. It’s the 6 cylinder model, I noticed when I’m idle in drive or reverse, that the power of the heat/ac decreases, headlights fluctuate in brightness (mainly decreasing though), radio will completely tap out but come back on repeatedly and the ABS and ESC will flicker as well (although it takes a decent amount of idiling usually for this to happen, that being the ABS and ESC flicker). All of this however, does not happen in park or when actually driving. I’m assuming the regulator is screwed up, so I tested it and pulled at voltage of 11.50/11.75. From my research this is lower than normal, but I assume standards can be different for different cars. Anyone have insight on this? One of my buddies said that hyundais in general don’t particularly appreciate aftermarket regulators, leading me to belive that is the issue. The car is also not throwing up any codes last time I checked, which was only a few days ago
