Because winning worlds should taste sweet…literally. I see players kiss the trophy when they win worlds like every year. If we coat the trophy with like sugar powder, then when someone kisses the trophy, it will leave a mark. That way the other 4 winners on the team will know not to kiss there to avoid other players saliva.

If sugar coating feels too extreme, then I have another solution. Currently the trophy has 4 sides, so 4 of the 5 players gets to kiss the trophy on a separate side. Now if we remake the trophy with 5 sides, we can add a sticky note to each side with the message “Zeus kiss here”, another sticky note to another side with “Keria kiss here” etc. Now if two players want to kiss the trophy on the same side because their bromance is too strong, then it’s fine too. I’m not here to judge, just help maintain hygiene.

Now we have to ask ourselves, how many players played bad in worlds finals over the years because they didn’t want to touch their hands or lips on the unsanitary abomination of a trophy that would be covered top to bottom with the drool of their teammates.
