Do we think we will ever get an Embiid and Bball Paul lineup? I can’t see how this lineup has never even been attempted. I think it would be pretty solid.

On offense, Embiid doesn’t play like a traditional center. He is normally near the 3 point line setting screens or doing dribble handoffs. He posts up when needed but we are good at clearing the path for him. He is one of the top mid range players in the game too.

Reed is the opposite. He needs to be closer to the rim. He should be in the dunker spot most of the time. He isn’t the worst 3 point shooter either if he gets kicked to the corner though it shouldn’t really be his game. (Better than having PJ Tucker to shoot 3s though.)

On defense, Embiid is a top 3 rim protector in the league. He can get hunted from time to time on pick and rolls but that is mainly because our guards are traffic cones. He guards the paint and alters shots like nobody else in the game but Gobert and Davis.

Reed can guard all the positions. He will definitely commit some shitty fouls but all in all, I think he is pretty solid. He can also stay in front of players which is what kills us all the time.

Also, the main reason we need to try this is energy. I love Embiid and think he is probably the most impactful player in the league all around. The one thing that gets us all angry is lack of hustle or bad body language. This happens because he is our defense when out there. Reed can bring the energy up when Embiid is slowing down.

I was sure Doc was going to try it last playoffs but then remembered that Doc is a terrorist and an idiot. Do we think Nurse tries it? What are the thoughts around this?

The fact that we played a team that starts two bigs in their lineup, and we didn’t have our starting center, our backup center was in foul trouble and Mo Bamba still didn’t see any meaningful minutes doesn’t provide strong evidence for him to be on this roster.
