Whenever I overclock my GPU it passes the load/stress tests from MSI Kombuster and I have tinkered with Afterburner to get the max speeds. I never get thermal issues nor use the max power despite me setting the limits above 100%. I get about 6-10% improvement whenever I run with overclocking. But games inevitably crash on me because of it.
I never full bluescreen like I used to. I had upgraded to the new CPU and it was undervolted so I adjusted in bios and never had any issues. My RAM is on XMP 2.0 with the correct speeds. I turned my PSU off eco mode because it seemed to be undersupplying when I installed the 3080 (never had issues once I turned off Eco).
But for the life of me I can’t get the OC to work.
I am starting to think my motherboard is the bottleneck. With the most up to date BIOS I can’t even install Windows 11 because the bios runs into issues when I try to enable safeboot etc.
Anyone have any additional advice for this issue? Should I look into overclocking my CPU to assist? Or am I doomed to factory speeds with the GPU?
