Running the table before the IST would be nice. 16-3, putting the Magic and Sixers at least with 6 losses, Milwaukee and Miami also play each other so one of them will have 6 losses.

If we could manage that, we could have a 3+ game lead on the 3-5 seeds, and at worst a 2 game lead on the 2 seed with the tiebreaker over them.

Would be huge to own all these tiebreakers and have a cushion.

Should we be worried about being up big and only winning by a few points? I mean a win is a win regardless but it would be nice to get all our guys more rest.

Should we rest Holiday in an unimportant game? He has defended a lot of bigs which might be the reason for his recent shooting slump.

I genuinely believe that his insistence on defensive matchups is becoming a detriment to both himself and the team. While he’s capable of defending bigs intermittently, I don’t want him to stick with that matchup throughout the entire game as you said it clearly hurts him offensively as well.

For instance, in the game against the Raptors, Siakam was consistently killing him. Tatum and Brown are objectively better defending Siakam, yet Holiday repeatedly chose to mark him. (Holiday himself mentioned Joe Mazzulla encouraging him to select defensive matchups.)

My concern is in scenarios like a playoff series where Butler might kill us because Holiday prefers guarding him, despite Tatum being more effective at defending him.

Anyone else annoyed that the Lakers ‘just happened’ to get the easiest in-season tournament group.

    - Memphis 2nd seed without Ja, Now 27th.

    - Trail-blazers now without Lillard, now 25th.

    - Jazz who overachieved last year - Now 26th.

    - Then the Suns without Booker and Beal while Lakers play at home.

They just got a free run into the next round even though they were a 7-seed last year while all these other west teams have to battle it out.

Similar to how they always get the season schedule with the least travel. SMFH.
