So I’ve recently gotten back to playing Overwatch after a good two months off, and I am playing like HOT GARBAGE!

My mains are Reaper, Reinhardt, and Lucio. And no matter which one of them I play, I always die SO MUCH!

It may be a skill issue, but I’m constantly being teamed up with horrible players, while being matched up against AMAZING players, so it feels unnecessarily unfair.

Maybe the game has adapted and I don’t know how to play in the current meta, or I’ve just lost touch with the game as a whole. My aim is definitely off but it seems like I can’t win a one on one match with ANYONE anymore.

I used to be able to tear other players apart with Reaper, but now it feels like every character is a sponge and can just heal themselves at will.

I don’t know. Maybe I need to change mains or do some more research on the game itself.

The assumption seems to be correct.

but I’m constantly being teamed up with horrible players, while being matched up against AMAZING players, so it feels unnecessarily unfair.

As far as I can see this complaint is heared across all ranks. The only difference is the definition of “horrible” according to the rank.

Maybe the game has adapted and I don’t know how to play in the current meta

As the game is in constant flow this might be a factor

My aim is definitely off but it seems like I can’t win a one on one match with ANYONE anymore.

To improve I recommend playing Deathmatch over and over again until you are consistent in your performance.

but now it feels like every character is a sponge and can just heal themselves at will.

    Which heroes?

Maybe I need to change mains

Not necessarily. Investing more time and sweat will help.
