A lot of people hate on “NPC” colors like white, black, grey, and I’ve even heard blue.

I think there’s nothing more “NPC” than to pick a different (and sometimes ugly) color just for the sake of being different. It reeks of “I need to feel special”. If you love a specific yellow or green on your car that’s great but if you’re just doing it to avoid having an “NPC” color, you’re the NPC.

I know this post will be unpopular because the r/cars take is “grey bad!” so I expect a lot of downvotes by the “actually my Civic is orange because I’m just so exciting as a person totally not boring!” crowd

The cars I drive on the street blend in because I sometimes drive quickly.

The cars I build for others and have waiting in the wings don’t blend in, because they don’t need to.

Thinking of people as NPCs shows a lack of compassion and empathy and will get you nowhere in life when it comes to personal development.
