I played lately Cyberpunk 2077 and Yakuza games and there is always something to do.
There is alwayssss something to do in the Witcher 3
Pokémon hasn’t been great in this realm but Legends Arceus was their first game where I felt I could wander for hours without getting bored.
DayZ, if you find the right server and community.
Horizon Zero Dawn, both of them
There are so many games that are Amazing in the Open World Department to be Honest.
Here are some that I love and though were Packed and in some cases a head of there time.

- Grand Theft Auto 5
- Zelda Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom
- Dragon Quest 11
- Mario Odyssey
- XenoBlade Chronicles 1/2/3
- Skyrim
- Elden Ring
- Sekiro
- Sunset Overdrive
There are so many Amazing Games.
I did not mention some of the PS games but they do have some.
I am so Lucky to be able to game anywhere I want.
I have my day 1 XBSX/PS5 Disc. I also have my da1 Nintendo Switch Consoles Currently TotK OLED, Steam Deck Base updated to 2TB, ROG ALLY Upgraded to 2TB, New Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PC i7 13700K RTX 4080 and some other Consoles and newer systems.
I mainly game on XBSX since I can take my save files and GamePass Games to PC and ROG ALLY on the Go. On PS5 I do have all the Exclusives and will continue to buy them since they are worth playing. Though I have to say the quality has gone down since it has been more of the same. Long are the Days on New IP’s every year.
That said gaming is an Amazing Hobby no matter where you play.
Have Fun Gaming in the Open World Mates!
Fallout New Vegas
botw and totk. "oh im gonna go to this village! oh wait look at that, theres a shrine over there, ill go to the village later! on the way to the shrine. oh look! a bunch of monsters, better fight them, my weapons are almost breaking. oh look, im at a stable now, better do the quests. etc
The shrines are all very samey though. Especially in totk. They’re all pretty much just tutorials. (They might not stop and show you how to crouch or explain bullet time but all they do is teach you how you can use a zonai device)
Skyrim!
I liked Horizon Zero Dawn, but I suspect mostly because it looked gorgeous and dinosaurs are cool, not sure I would give a full thumbs up to all of it’s open world moves.
Red dead redemption 2
Elden Ring
Mario Odyssey, I know it’s not one big open world but it’s like 10 smaller open worlds they always hasc things to do
Ironically for me Cyberpunk had a pretty bland open world. Night City felt beautifully designed with so much detail packed into it, but the gameplay just couldn’t keep up with that standard. It felt like a stunning backdrop but when you actually try to explore it, it reveals itself as a pretty shallow place. Loved Cyberpunk, but this was an area that fell flat for me.
Anyway, my vote would have to go to Red Dead 2
Elden Ring. The world isnt empty and isn’t boring because there is always something ready to kill you.
Persona 5, hogwarts legacy
