I got into watches about 6 months ago and have slowly been building up my collection since. I was looking for my next watch to be a diver or dress orientated. I’m in no rush though and am planing to save up for a $500-1000 watch next. Any suggestions on what to get?

Wait. You may feel like you have a lot of money now because of low/ nonexistent expenses living at home, but once you start paying 3K a month just to live (rent, car payments, gas, utilities, and groceries add up fast for a single person), you’ll be wishing you had a little more financial padding so you can feel comfortable buying something nice once and a while without spending all your savings. That Hamilton is a great watch. If you get another watch anytime soon, see if you can get it for a HS graduation gift so you don’t blow your savings.

As a fellow high schooler I suggest slowing down a bit, 4 watches in 6 months is a lot especially since you just got into the hobby. My advice is to save up a bit of money and get a nice leather band/metal bracelet for the Hamilton, then once you have enough money in a year or so get a nice Tudor or Omega.

Lmfao your collection as a high schooler is more valuable than my entire collection 😂

First of all, congrats on what you have so far, cool stuff. Secondly, I recommend going into watch repair shops/mom and pop jewelry stores and hunting for an interesting and unique vintage piece. It can be overwhelming to look for vintage watches online if you don’t have something specific in mind. In person you can sometimes find something really incredible for a reasonable price.
