tl;dr - which controllers work best for 3-4 players?

Hi,I’ve had my Steam Deck for a year or so and I mostly use it to play multiplayer with my friends. However, I still haven’t found a controller that doesn’t give me any issues at all, it’s like the Steam Deck dock was appositely made to not support multiple controllers, especially when more than two are connected at the same time.

I’ve tried the wired 8bitdo Pro 2, and sometimes when you connect it to the dock it just won’t get recognized in-game until you reset the Deck; this becomes especially frustrating with 3 controllers. I’ve tried the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and sometimes it randomly disconnects (even with rumble off) or it just changes player order on a whim. I guess it’s because Steam Deck’s bluetooth isn’t really optimized (I heard the OLED version is better right now but I can’t afford it).

What’s the best solution here? Bonus points if it has a Nintendo button layout but whatever. Thanks!
