Struggles were inevitable, and no Trent Williams definitely made a greater impact than our 4th offensive option.

    Not forcing defenses to account for him allows them to play slightly differently and not having him as an option for Brock affects him, and those things together allow for potential struggles. I think that’s a fair connection to make.

    Missing Deebo wasn’t THE reason, but it certainly played a factor. Especially with Williams out. Not having Deebo meant the offense was less dynamic. Defense could bring more pressure without worrying about Deebo getting free for a screen.

    What bothers me is that we all know that Shanahan’s system is not built to come from behind. What really gets my gourd is that detractors take credit away from Purdy because of Shanahan’s system, but those same detractors blame Purdy for not leading GW drives in the 4th quarter.

    Either he’s a product of the system or he’s not. Fucking pick one argument and stick with it
