Like the title says, I have been considering a steam deck recently, but I am very on the fence, and I wanted to ask before I purchased because I have seen people post their buyers remorse on here, and well, you guys are ruthless defenders of the steam deck, let’s just say that.

I guess I should start by explaining what I want or expect. If I am honest, I just want the ability to play PC games on the move. The thing is, though playing sub-60 fps is a hard sell for me, are there many AAAs that run at 60 without the lowest possible setting and dialling down the resolution? I seem to find conflicting answers.
I also really want to get into emulated gaming, which at the moment is the biggest reason I’m drawn to the Steam Deck. This seems to be the Steam Deck’s saving grace; it performs (from what I can see) exceptionally well as an emulator. All of this being said, I’m still on the fence. Tell me your pros and cons and what you think. :) <3
