What’s it going to take for him to keep/lose his job?

Honestly, he’s never been as bad as some on this sub have said. My biggest issue has always been his complete disregard for personnel in the run game, allowing his defenses to just get road grated over.

So long as his run defenses are solid, his defenses are pretty good because the pass game is fine and they’re solid on third down and in the red zone.

Spectacular? Nope. Definitely could be worse though.

I think he has really done a nice job and rallied the troops. However, I can’t overlook multiple years of horrendous work and scheme based idiocy.

I think two things can be true at the same time. One-he has had a nice stretch. Two-the other defenses he has fielded have been unable to get off the field, lose the time of possession battle, and under use the overwhelming draft capital he has been given.

today was a masterclass from Joe Barry. if he keeps this up the rest of the year then you can’t let him walk. but if it’s same old the next few weeks then it’s best to part ways.

Barry is the not worst coordinator in the world. there’s better and there’s worse out there. in my book he’s perfectly average.

Hes trash…the reason the secondary looked decent today is because on every offesive play for the lions Gary was in the backfield in seconds like a wrecking ball.
