Just got chromecast to use steam games on my TV via steam link with an 8bitdo xbox style controller.
The whole setup was 50$
Never did I imagine linux would be so easy to game on.

I run Linux Mint version 19.1. my computer is very basic almost 7 years old. 1050 Ti. I have steam. There’s an app on Chromecast called steam link. The Chromecast is plugged into TV and connected to wifi. This allows steam running on the Linux computer to stream games to the tv. The controllers are connected to the computer.
I was playing multiplayer helldivers.
Setup works very well. Highly recommend.
