I repasted my Deck with PTM7950. I saw great results with my LCD version, so I wanted to do it with my OLED as well.

First I fired up Cyberpunk and let it heat soak for 30 minutes before taking a before reading. I then repasted the Deck and did the same again. As you can see, the CPU temp decreased by 3 degrees C, and the GPU by 4 degrees C. The fan also decreased by 200 RPM.

The factory application was excellent, so the temp decrease is simply due to better thermal paste/pad.

Also, I undervolted the CPU, GPU and SOC by -50mV in the BIOS before doing the testing, this resulted in a 2 FPS increase from stock.

Probably not worth it. Stock sub 70 is already cool enough by all means and purposes.

I just cranked my new deck down -50mV as well. So far everything seems stable.

Done any before/after benchmarks? I got a 2fps increase in Cyberpunk, but didn’t test with other games.

Any notable difference in fan noise? Or it was already quiet?
