Car tries to start but can't

Hi there,

I have a 2004 Saturn Ion and today I went to the store and on my way back home it seemed like the car was struggling to not die before finally just dying. I had it towed back home and thought it was a dead battery but even after getting a jump it still won’t turn on. The car was running just fine recently and I didn’t have much warning that anything was wrong. It will try to start, so I know the starter is working, but it just won’t actually start up. Any ideas?
