Looking to buy Minecraft for a 6-7 year old boy.

What is the popular/preferred version for switch or a tablet app? Regular Minecraft? Minecraft Dungeons? Minecraft Legends?

I assume the base game is the most popular- but didn’t know if Dungeons or Legends may give a more focused experience for young kids.

    Standard Minecraft is super fun. My 5 year old son asked me to get it and we have had a blast learning the game over the last two weeks.

    Get him the base game, just simply called Minecraft. You’re gonna end up getting Bedrock edition, which is better for little kids anyway. I’m a PC gamer and heavily prefer Java edition myself, but it can be more complicated and not as fun for a little kid to understand.
