Our insistence to not get any momentum. Get the guys a solid series with 4 yard - 8 yards and get some 1st downs. 3rd worst in the NFL for a reason.
Face rolling to dump useless bomb attempts to DK vs Ward in the first half each time seemed like either on 3rd down or forcing 3rd and long.
Not recognizing that our o line can’t pass protect reliably for deep routes when we got no run game.
Using our tight ends for about nothing.
Not using DK for a distraction for Lockett and JSN on some shorter work.
The 4th and inches call was a Darwin Award. Anything not under shotgun if your going to run? They had their ears pinned back to defend a run attempt and you start 6 yards short.
Our defense put up more than our offense and it got shredded by deebo and CMC. Seemed like their check downs where effortless for 5+ right in front of Bobby and brooks and the reads were going out quick. Our zone seems to just suck. Spoon and brooks seem to be playing well but Jesus Bobby is showing he’s missed a step. Granted I’d watch him over barton any day.
Miss K9 but you can’t fix our inability to adjust anything on offense mid stream. Recognize that confidence and momentum are critical.

End rant. Honestly I think this is a Shane and Pete problem not working around our weakness. I’d say Shane needs to get put on notice.
We can all see that Geno is capable of placing the ball in good spots on some pretty difficult throws at times. Some are excellent. What we lack is anything to really help him help us. He seems to suck at scanning his reads and takes too long to do it. You can do whatever the fuck you want but not converting early will absolutely trash confidence, moral and have zero momentum. Set him up with plays that have 2 reads and a check down that take about 2s to execute. Get him outside the pocket so he can dump it out of bounds or run. I mean literally anything to buy him time and options.
At the end of the day I’d say I’m not optimistic that Geno can go into a big game like the NFC championships and play well because we can’t even support him in small games.
I would have been fine losing this game if we could even attempt to focus on 10 yards at a time.
Pete’s gotta either take his hands off the OC position (which explains why we always get more of the same) or dump Shane up in the booth and get him some help seeing all this obvious shit we have to adapt to. Pete’s a good spokesman but I don’t see how every week we talk about 3rd downs and get jack shit done. How we abandon the run and that’s bad, and then fucking do it again. I’d rather see us fail running 3 downs to set the tone and get the o line aggressive.
