So today I am here asking questions about network security. So let me start. Using wireshark filter arp.duplicate-address-detected, 218 entries pop up within the past day. So does this mean I have a mitm attack on my network (but strangely in terminal when I type the arp -a no duplicates were found). Second question.A second thing when I connect my pc (windows or Linux) an update can be found ( on windows it updates the second you click shut down after you connect to the network) but on Linux, it will say something like six packages can be upgraded but then if I connect to my computer to my mobile hotspot and run that same command, there are only five packages that can be upgraded and then if I upgrade them and then I go back to my network, then there is still a package that can be upgraded. So is there a way somebody hacked my network that they could fake updates to devices to install some sort of malware onto them? So how could I fix this? Thanks for reading this and advance and yes I do have an Av on all of my devices except for a raspberry pi.
