Only a few of these are even mediocre. He’s a rookie and in most metrics he’s 2nd only to (presumably) Stroud.

Against any and all NFL QB’s yeah he’s mid - but in 4 games with almost no preseason/early season reps homeboy’s already as good or better than Tannehill, and he’s getting killed even harder.

Biggest drawback I see is him not being mobile even though he clearly can, but how can you blame him for not feeling a rush that’s coming from every side. The odds he’s going to get run down in the backfield if he doesn’t stand in there and fire are high, so you trade some late down efficiency for actually being able to get a play off.

I think he’s been solid as fuck for a rookie. Had he started earlier in the season and had any kind of protection I think we’d have a duel for OROY between him and Stroud.

The kid is special and I think we’re all just holding our breath to see if he takes the next steps or gets mud-stomped and loses his stuff due to freak injury. Wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened in the NFL by far.

If that happens it really is Mariota 2.0 all over again. Let’s all hope it doesn’t.

Biggest drawback I see is him not being as mobile as he clearly can be,

I think his mobility is still down because of the toe injury from last year.

He elected not to have surgery last year. I firmly believe the plan was to tough it out from the draft process through his rookie season and then have the surgery in Jan-Feb.

If he can stay healthy and get some help from Ran on OL and weapons, I firmly believe he’s gonna make a leap next year.

My gut tells me that they don’t want him to use his legs because of the lower body injury history, unless he is moving to protect himself. He had issues with a toe and his left thigh in the past year already and had to miss games at kentucky for injuries in a bad offensive line situation as well.

Here’s to hoping he can stay consistent at his good skills and improve on the easy passes, the layups, etc. Like it’s funny, his completion percentage over expected was good, but his expected completion percentage was one of his struggles. So he completes the unexpected passes but messes up on the expected passes?

With his cannon arm and ability to run a basic NFL offense, I think he has some really great potential if he puts things together in some accuracy, footwork, and decision making areas.
