I’ve been curious about it for a while now, and there’s a lot of talk in Korea about Gen.G is not Samsung.

I’m basically

Gen.G=Samsung, but in Riot’s official video introducing the Worlds winners, I saw that only Gen.G the Samsung teammark.(SKT changed its Team Mark to T1).

There are a lot of questions in the Korean LOL community right now about whether or not it’s right for Gen.G to take over Samsung’s career. What do Riot admins think? I’m very curious about this.

This suspicion is amplified by the fact that Gen.G’s '22 uniforms did not use the star markings that a Worlds winner would use,

Can anyone give me a definitive answer?

So does the Gen G org technically have the 2 championships or are they a fresh org with no Worlds wins.

Lol, it’s great to see that someone else also thinks about the stupid odd questions i thought about while taking a shower

    Short answer : No

Gen.G originated from KSV they are Samsung Galaxy’s “spiritual” successors, but they are in NOT Samsung Galaxy nor do a lot of people consider them as such

If GENG were to win worlds, I wonder if the casters would say: “This is GENG’s first Worlds victory!” or “GENG wins for the first time since 2017!”

That would be the best way to figure it out. I guess all we can do is wait.
