i have already bought some thermal paste but too afraid to do it myself (mainly because i’m clumsy) and so i was wondering how much it would cost out of pocket for a store tech to replace my thermal paste in my laptop. my laptop’s cpu has been peaking lower 90’s in temps lately in fallout 4 (on high, not even ultra) and my gpu has been hitting mid-higher 80’s in temps which is scaring me quite a bit since before, it never got that high.
again, just to put it short: how much would it cost for a tech to repaste my gaming laptop
Can feel the heat through my laptops keyboard and a program like hwinfo saying that I’m being throttled when gaming (especially since fallout4 is a game that requires at least 600 series GPU from Nvidia)
I’ve had it for a year (got it on my birthday), gaming is the most used, not sure if it’s filled with dust as I can’t get a screw to latch to my screwdriver because the screw chipped itself after being opened 2 times.
