I really hope that we win Sunday’s game so we can end this playoff drought and the division championship drought. We got the Aints twice, Bucs, Panthers, Bears, Colts and Jets.

We’ll be tied and own a temporary tie breaker with 6 games left to play. If we lose we drop to 2 games behind and give them the tiebreaker.

Either way it won’t be over but if we win it’s a long, long way from over. Given how we’ve played the last month even with the win we’ve got a lot more winning to do.

It’s not really IF the Falcons win but how they when. They could go 7-0 and play the exact same shitty brand of football we’ve seen and then get smoked in the playoffs when they have the rude awakening of playing a good team.

I’ve never really seen such an easy schedule and any above average team with a half descent coach and QB would have 4-5 losses MAX. The Falcons already have 6.

The only thing making the playoffs is going to do is get Arthur Smith a contact extension and allow the Falcons to wallow in 7-10 9-8 range for two or three more years before everything falls apart and Blank fires Smith and the Falcons start over again.

Remember this is a franchise that NEVER HAD BACK TO BACK WINNING SEASONS until Matt Ryan showed up. While many teams have patterns of rebuilding and sustained success, the Falcons have been a perpetually rebuilding/underachieving franchise for almost their entire history. Sad but fucking true.

    Pretty much…

There should be a lot of interest over the next 7 weeks, IMO…

NFC South contention, QB evaluation, Coaching adjustments, etc…

Now I’m a “Glass-half-full” type of person and I see hope for this team moving forward…

As unsettling as the QB position may be, there’s a best-case and worse-case scenario… Quite simply, it is either Ridder or it isn’t… I think the majority of fans would prefer the team to move on from Ridder as a starter…

There are resources at our disposal to obtain a QB this next off-season…

We still need speedy WR talent, O-line help, and EDGE rusher as essential needs…

Draft picks plus some cap space to spend gives this team options…
