Actually Sony got their act together by slashing the price and offering some of the best games that generation as exclusives. Red ring of death didn’t help (even though Sony had the PSN hack).

In the end, Sony barely won out compared to Xbox.

I spent 500 on my ps3 back then with my first ever salary, and we still bust it out every now and then to clear some waves on MW3 or whatever. Proven to be very durable and reliable, to me it was worth every penny

I feel like games had a lot more mystery to them back then, before the internet made us know everything. I was also young and everything was new to me.

I got mine in Christmas of 2008. Believe Home was a thing back then. Had an online friend back then drop an assload of money on his space. And to think he had nothing to show for it once Home was discontinued.

It was truly my moment that clicked that I shouldn’t spend money on in game items.
