This reminds me of a game I went to in the Meadowlands around 2005. My brother was in NJ for biz and scored some tix to the Fins/Jets game. He invited me and I flew up to meet him.

We met in a hotel lobby on gameday. I had on my Marino jersey. He took one look and said, “you’re actually going to wear that?” Yep.

We had seats in the rowdy endzone. The Fins scored first in the game. I stood up, “YAY!!” We were both showered with a ton of beer. I mean soaked.

He looked at me all pissed off, “I TOLD YOU NOT TO WEAR THAT!”
