Hello all! I am currently considering buying a 2024 Corolla Hatchback. Does remote start need a subscription a Connected Service plan? If not, do y’all believe that a subscription is worth it, and how much are they? Also, do they vary based upon the different Corolla Hatchback trims?

If you car has it, you can use the key fob to start the car without a subscription. The cell phone app works from anywhere, but requires a subscription.
I’m not using the remote connection for anything because I don’t want Toyota to have access to my personal data.
When I was originally told that the key fob requires a subscription, I didn’t believe it. I asked @Toyota on Twitter and they confirmed, the key fob does require a subscription. I stand corrected.
