For instance, the Suns are currently fighting for a wildcard spot. If they are blowing out the Grizzles by the third quarter (by 25+ points), would Vogel keep Booker/KD in to maximize their point differential, or still dump out the bench as in a normal NBA game?

    Probably not because no one actually cares about winning the tournament. These are just regular season games

    As said by others, it’s happening and players/coaches are very aware. It’s actually also made fans a little more energized during these days and the Tournament games are played with a bit more of an edge…so far it’s done what the league sought out to accomplish.

    There was like .30 seconds left in that lakers and jazz game and I was actually screaming at my tv for the lakers to keep going but then I realized we already had a wild ass point differential so it didn’t really matter lol

    I don’t think you can “run up the score” at the highest level of the best professional league

    These are pros, world class athletes. It’s not a mismatched Jr HS football game where one team has 16 total players and the final score is 91-0
