Probably Sinn, Archimede, Laco, Stowa, Damasko, M.A.T, Forban, the list can easily continue but basically any brands that needs some research to be known and wont be known by an instagram ad of some sort
(IMO the price of a watch doesnt attest of any knowledge or interest as everyone knows Rolex and Omega but few know about Vostok)

I could go on…
Can’t look at a watch and know really… some people don’t have the means to get high end watches
Who said it has to be a high end watch? If I saw someone in a seagull 1963 or a brew metric, I’d think they were into watch collecting
Any high end seiko. To pay 3k+ on a Seiko you have to really like watches, and not brand recognition.
And know what you’re doing and doing it for yourself because you’re certainly not going to get remarks from people ha ha.
Breguet, JLC, Blancpain, or VC would do it…

The last time I had this conversation with a stranger who was really into watches, they were wearing a MB&F. So I’ gonna say that.
I once ran into someone wearing the exact same Parmigiani, that was odd. Also have a 500 piece LE JLC and was once with a group and we noticed TWO of the other guys in the group also had the same watch.
Oris. I have not found any “normal” people who have heard of them. In fact, my neighbor thought my Kermit was made by that “fly fishing company” 😅
Smiths — you have to REALLY want it
