TLDR: I am in California with an old box truck that has a broken alternator, no registration, and no smog. I’m trying to sell it. How can I get it smogged or sold?

I recently had a family member pass and they had an old Ford box truck that we want to sell. Its in good condition and could sell for probably 8k. The issue is the alternator is broken so driving it isn’t easy. Furthermore, it’s not smogged and the registration has not been paid. I was told in California we cannot sell it as an AS IS car without smog. So what can we do? Should we junk it? Tow it to get smogged? Any help would be great as its being ticketed and we can’t move it.
