The longest tenured 49er is Arik Armstead, and he was drafted in 2015 by Baalke and Tomsula, the draft after the infamous Turkey on the 50 game.

Trent Williams, Tashaun Gibson Sr. and Kyle Juszczyk are the only players that were in the league that are currently on the roster (active, IR and PS) and didn’t join until Shanahan took over as head coach.

Jimmie Ward would have been the only 49er to have been in both games had he not signed with The Texans this offseason.

Bobby Wagner is the only SEA player that played in both games for his team. Pete Carroll, Pat McPherson and Nate Carroll are the only coaches that coaches in both games for the Seahawks.

Nick Sorensen and Brian Schneider are two coaches that were on Sea in 2014 and SF in 2023. They can get bragging rights.

So, aside from the Front Office, from roster to coaching, the 2023 49ers are a completely different team from 2014.

This was truly a fan victory. And deservedly so!
