I’m trying to understand where to spend my efforts the best. Some of you may be aware of the Junk-Store plugin I’ve been working away at in an effort to bring more games directly into steam with less effort. As it stands I have the ability to pull in custom lists that can be derived from sets like ExoDos etc (which will require some effort on the users part). The main attraction is the Epic Game Store that I’ve managed to integrate into this plugin, and I will be releasing this as the default on the Decky store at some point. The thing that’s holding back release at the moment is the dependence on a flatpak for legendary. While I can build and install this flatpak out of band I’ve discussed this with the legendary dev and it’s on it’s way, but it will take time.

My question is how many people would rather just wait for the official release with the official flatpak vs installing the plugin by pointing decky to a url in the developer section to install the plugin (which will then install the custom flatpak at the click of a button)?

There seems to be a bit of interest in this plugin and I’m just wondering if my time is well spent trying to get a beta 5 out the door vs just continuing work in other areas.

What’s the general feeling amongst people here about stuff like this?
