The deeper we get into this season, the more we’ll know for sure but what are your thoughts as of right now? Do yall think we can get over the hump with Maxey as our number 2?

Personally I think his growth has been satisfying and he’ll continue to improve, but I think we’ll need 1 of those guys mentioned to get through Boston. Those guys offer experience and Boston’s size and strength won’t limit them as a scorer. Ps I’m not exactly knowledgeable on the contracts and stuff

Lauri Markkanen is the best one to trade for. He helps us get better, younger, cheaper and still have cap space for big name rental guys for a 2/3 year championship run. But Danny ainge is gonna be tufffff

Why would the Clippers ever trade Kawhi or PG?

Hot take: Maxey is good enough to be the #2 now. What this team could really use is another ball handler off the bench.

I would suggest it’s a guard that can play backup pg when Maxey isn’t on the court but can also start next to him and play off ball.

      Brogdan is intriguing.

Correct we just need another ball handler (Monte Morris, Delon Wright or Bones Hyland) and a semi volume/volume shooter like either Bodganvics (ATL or DET)

Would love to try and get Huerter as part of a three team trade if they go for a star.

Idk but we’ll see. Yeah Pat Bev is pretty shitty offensively. Who do you think could be that handler for our bench?

Idk, this would help for the regular season obviously. But in the play-offs whatever back up pg we have is going to be playing very limited minutes

Keep Maxey fresh and prevent injuries while helping get us seeded and play a few but very big minutes in the playoffs.

think we can get over the hump with Maxey as our number 2?

Depends on what the hump is. But probably no.

Big issue with Lavine right now for me is the matching salaries. That and we need another starter to also come to the sixers. So even more salary matching issues.

Areas we still need to improve: 1) on ball defense (Alex Caruso would be a great pickup) 2) another part time or full time ball handler / multi-level scoring threat.

We had a lot of trouble defending Garland and lob threats (especially Jarret Allen) vs the Cavs. It wasn’t until the second half, when Pat Bev started denying Garland the ball, and started actually keeping up with the pick and roll, that our defense actually started working. The problem is Pat Bev offers nothing on the offensive end and might not be able to keep up for high usage.

No, more stuff always shakes loose at the trade deadline. There will be more options available.

But the sixers are just fine building around embiid and Maxey. Thise are great 1-2 options.
