Received my steam deck oled today and am pretty upset about noisy right trackpad. It makes very loud pinging noise and has less haptic feedback than the right. Shoulder button also makes some metallic springing sound when I touch it. One trigger also feels like its getting stuck on a spring. All of these issues are on the left side of the controls only, so obviously a defective unit.

Am I allowed to return it for full cost? I would go the RMA route, but I heard that they give out second hand units for replacements, and the process itself takes ages, so I don’t want to bother with that. Im thinking of simply returning and buying a different one. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

I am in the UK if it makes any legal difference.

It’s been a week since release, I don’t think you could get any second hand unit 👍
