Some of y’all need to be reminded that even an all-time great WR has a fraction of the impact as a decent QB. Sure MHJ is great, but drafting him doesn’t help us without the right QB in place. The potential reward of Williams/Maye is 100% worth the risk of missing out on MHJ.

MHJ vs the best available OT is an actual debate, but MHJ vs the best available QB should not be a debate in the slightest. Upgrading over Mac/Zappe is the #1 priority by far and also just way better contract value for that high of a pick.

And no it is not a good idea to wait and draft a QB next year when we have a worse draft pick in an even worse QB class. Not to mention that there are way more good WRs available later in the draft than there are good QBs.

This QB class is absurdly deep and I don’t trust Williams to be “that guy” he could bust hard in the NFL, just judging by his work ethic (or lack of one) at USC, and the fact he is more about his brand than playing football. I can see him being a total bust in the NFL.

This is why I say we use our 2nd round pick (which will be like 34 or 35) to draft a guy like McCarthy, Penix, Nix, or Daniels. We then have the ability to give Mac training camp and the start of the season to try and prove himself for a new contract and even he plays well, we still let him hit FA and have the QB of the future spending a season learning the system and not being thrown directly into the fire.

The question to me is will there be a good QB class in 25? If so then go for MHJ.

Absolutely stupid point. WR has had a clear major increase in value and QB has had a clear drop in value. Look at all the bottom tier teams and you’ll see bottom tier receivers.
