I am looking for the name of a fantasy series where the main character suffers amnesia in the first book, he and all his siblings are not just named after the tarot deck… They literally are the tarot. Random actually says in the book “Child Random to the dark tower came” ironically.

It’s really bending my mind that I can’t just Google this from keywords. I know it’s in the top 50 fantasy series of all time.

More specifics…the protagonist has his eyes ripped from his skull during the first book, but they grow back. He also likes cigarettes, which a sympathetic guard provides him during his imprisonment.
