From the older post search, it seems this was a common issue, when pushing the B button and with an ‘upward’ motion, Mine sticks when i press and sort of go left.
Just the slightest touch right, and it pops back up.
Also reading it can ‘wear in’ and not be an issue after a while, and there is a trick using some thin sandpaper to sand the edges of the case a bit to fix the issue without disassembly.
Theres also a bit-o-tape trick. But i am going to let it be for a while, then try some very very fine and thin sand paper when i find it… I know i have some. its polishing ‘tape’ that i use for very hard metals.
So just a heads up - it seems theres still a ‘Sticky B’ issue going on.
My a button was a little sticky, pressed it down 20 times and seems fine now.
All righty, i will play with it for a while. :) its too cold to go out to the wood shop to find my sandpaper.
I really wish the deck was designed with a front panel that made replacing the buttons trivial. This LE would look much Cooler with some Orange Buttons! :)
My old lcd model does this sometimes too.
My searching found a lot of hits on the issue dating back a year or so, sounds like a bit more fit and finish and QC may be needed at the assembly line.
I have not seen much posts on the topic in the last 5 or so months.
