I’ll preface by saying this was my first ever NFL game and second time visiting Lumen Field. First time was for Football Fest in August '23.
A couple months ago my wife surprised me with field seat tickets in section 139 for last night against SF. (Hawks left bench side, 25 yard line) As my first ever live game, I was very excited at the prospect of being down on the field right by the players, and hoping I might catch a couple autographs too. Spoiler, I did not.
Included with the seats was VIP entry and access to club level. The early entry was great; however not at all what I envisioned prior to the game. I expected exclusive access, possibly meeting Blitz, Dancers, Seahawk Legends, etc. What we found was that it was mostly like the other levels, aside from the $72 pp Thanksgiving buffet. A lot of people, food, drink and pro shops. We did not eat the buffet, so I can’t speak to its quality.
An additional benefit to the seats were all inclusive food/beverage, delivered to our seats. The delivery was the best part. As I walked around the stadium, I saw a very diverse food culture and was excited to try some of these spots. What we found as we got to our seats was a very limited menu. There was only one item I’d consider a meal; Korean short ribs, fried rice and root veggies. Other options included a bowl of clam chowder, soft pretzel, hot dog, candy, popcorn, etc. The drink options were, 2 wine options (not in a can) 4 or 5 selzter/beer options, 3 or 4 sodas and water.
As for the seats themselves,
- Pregame field access blocked any chance to watch warm-ups.
- During the game, camera crews and other personnel were consistently blocking views.
- I spent a good amount of time watching the big screens even when the action was right in front of us.
- The seats had a goodie bag upon arrival. A bag of chips, bottle of water, holiday Starbucks cup, earplugs and a box of sour patch kids. No Seahawks swag.
- Seats were big and comfortable with plenty of leg room.
Overall, for the amount of money spent, I wouldn’t recommend these seats and would never buy field seats again. The whole experience, not including the very dismal performance by the Hawks, was good. I still enjoyed the crowd energy. The food we did eat was fine, and everyone we talked to was cool, staff included. But, the field seats were a bust.
I will not comment on the game itself; however, I will say that while winning last night would have changed my overall experience, my review of the seats would not change.
Not at all. I edited my previous comment. Thank you for pointing that out.
