I feel that when he first burst onto the scene he was this ultra explosive winger who would knock the ball 20 feet out and chase it and ut felt like he was constantly at 100mph

But the more i watch him play now he preserves his explosiveness more… he still is THAT FAST he only uses it when necessary. Far better at linkup play and off ball positioning to get into ideal positions and doesn’t try to take on his man as much as he once did in the past but instead just finds space with out the ball.

Yep, I noticed a change in his playstyle too. Bit less direct and always looking for the pass more. Also drops deeper to link up passes with his midfielders. Nice watching him play.

He idolizes Ronaldo and got to play with Messi. He knows what he must do to reach the top and stay there for years like they did. I’m excited for him

He ia definitely improving and adding more dimensions to his game. Although the PSG project was a failure, playing with superb playmakers of Neymar and Messi together has improved his link up play and game a lot.

Unless Mbappe moves to a better league we could never be able to rate him properly. The only games where he really has competition are in the UCL and Euros/WC. In Ligue 1 even Lacazette scored 27 goals last season, so Mbappe’s achievements there barely mean something.

It’s standard for players to become less reckless as they age. He’s in his mid 20s now and is not a young promise anymore.

Mbappé is shifting from pure speed and raw talent to a more cerebral game, much like CR7 did. It’s not just about outpacing defenders now; it’s about strategic positioning, timing his runs, and honing his playmaking skills. This transition could very well extend his peak years, a savvy move echoing Ronaldo’s successful adaptation for long-term dominance
