Honestly the best League related interview i’ve seen to date, and there are some banger ones. some key takeaways I took are:
- If Caps can’t compete with eastern mids then no one can. Both Nemesis and Bwipo have talked about caps being in great form despite a lot of analysts and fans saying caps is meh this year.
- A huge issue with judging players is looking at their world performance only, which is a single tournament, and ignoring the rest of the year. He thinks both are important and you can’t just forget that getting to worlds means your a top3/4 team and all the flame and blame goes to you but the teams that didnt even make it and are worse than you get nothing (for obvious reasons).
- he seems really jaded. He’s 24… what did he go through to reach this point. He does mention that suppressing emotions was something he took after Faker (references a faker interview), but later on in the interview he talks about his methodology on feedback. He’ll tell you something and try to explain it a few times, but if you still make the same mistake or dont listen he’ll just be quite and shrug.
- This seems to also affect him where false accusations have been made about him and he just doesnt find it worth to fight it anymore, and this has tarnished his career and made his skills go to waste (maybe the biggest eu talent tradegy so far).
Its not an exile if you are rejecting offers because you believe you should play for a top 3 team eventhough you havent played in 3 years and was average the last time you did. Its cool if he rejects offers, but he id no victim and is laughable to frame it as such
