I jumped on the OLED train!

I upgraded my old steam deck from 256 gb to 2 tb SSD. I used clonezilla to backup my original SSD to the new SSD via an intermediary external HDD. Went smoothly!

Now I’m trying to do the same thing from my 2tb SSD from LCD steam deck to my OLED steam deck. I don’t have 2 tb worth of info on my orig steam deck - about 100 gb. Unfortunately it seems my backup still looks like it takes 2 tb. So when I use clonezilla to restore it to the OLED deck (512 gb)… it says the backup is too large.

Any way to get around this? I assume there is but I’m not technical enough with linux or clonezilla to figure it out… help appreciated!

I haven’t done it on Deck, but on Windows you would shrink the partition to below the final output size, then during cloning/imaging - ignore unused partitions.
