Kyle Pitts has been a topic of discussion this season mainly for his lack of significant production compared to his draft overall, his rookie season, other TE’s in general, etc. So my question to you guys is what do you think Pitts will end up being on the Falcons: do you think he’s falling short due to Arthur’s Smith awful play calling and the generally terrible offense or could Pitts end up being a bust? Or do you think the truth is somewhere in the middle?

    Taking a TE that high when, Jamar chase, micha, Devonta smith, Jaylen waddle, Penie Sewell, Patrick Surtain, were taking right after. AND taking an RB, over an elite defensive linemen. Is why we will be a poverty franchise for decades

    If he could actually play TE then it would be an amazing pick. Unfortunately he plays more like a WR and is weak at blocking and gaining tough yardage, and every other role a TE is expected to fill except catching balls.

    Since he’s basically a WR we should really be comparing him to other receivers drafted at that level. Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, Randy Moss, Justin Jefferson, etc. Would you take Kyle Pitts over any of those receivers?

    He’s suffering under a bad QB situation

    When he had Matt who was playing half an arm he had 1k yard season. If we never chased Deshaun and Matt was our QB Kyle likely would have been on pace for 1k yards in year 2 before injury.

    If we make playoffs and Arthur Smith keeps his job and we are able to get Kirk Cousins I think we will see Kyle Pitts explode.

    Pitts is a top tier receiver. Mediocre TE because he’s not great at blocking. He would do much better on a better team. The falcons suck

    He’s a bust at TE. We have to give up on that. Move him to WR or something. He isn’t a good blocker, doesn’t seem to want to run rub routes for other WRs, and just isn’t doing the dirty work.

    At least at WR he can use his insane catch radius. Get him open using Jonnu Smith rub routes. Or another TE.

    Friendly reminder he almost broke the fucking rookie receiving record with Smith as a coach.

    The one year Smith had QB that could actually throw and run an nfl offense.

    Question should be easy to answer. But all ridder has done is create a bunch of fucked up mysteries.

    Edit: i like pitts but tbh if they were thinking straight they would have took a QB to sit under Ryan.
