Just curious, but with certain teams HC/Gm’s currently in the hot seat (WAS, LAC, Bears, CAR…) do you think an owner of one of those teams would approach the Ravens/John to offer John a HC position as well as a GM position (to persuade him) , similar to the one Bill Belichick currently has or Pete Carroll ( who is also executive vice president of football operations)
No
I do wonder when Ozzie retires from all things football related, if they will offer John Harbaugh his title of Executive Vice President (as well as still been the HC)
Would he be a good GM? I think he would be a great executive, but I think we would have to see how he fits in the methodology of the Ravens over the years. Also, he’s not exactly young anymore.
At this point I think if John isn’t the head coach of the Ravens he’s either retired or working with his brother, wherever Jim is.
I don’t think that is where his skill set is. He probably knows that too.
His skill set is special teams, that includes developing talent on both sides of the ball and deciding who gets a spot on the team, I’d think that would come in handy if he’d ever considered becoming a GM one day, not saying that he would but I could see it as a new ‘challenge’ for him while still being a HC.
